About Me

My photo
I love to take pictures and after I purchased my first digital camera I took even more pictures. I currently have albums, slide carrousels and CDs full of of pictures that need to be organized and presented in some type of fashion. That is why I started digital scrapbooking. So far I have only done a few pages, but my plans are to do alot more. My camera is also great help in organizing the cards that I have made. I have taken pictures of all the cards and want to make albums that I can leave with prospective customers. I have also put these pictures on the internet so family across Canada can see them.

Vintage Birthday

Copper and chocolate brown just go together and look so rich (at least in my books). This is a card I made as part of a package of birthday cards for my mother. It's hard to tell from the picture but the flower is multi-layered. The background is done with a cuttlebug folder and the copper paper is book binding paper. Sorry, I forget the real name of the paper, but is metallic looking, cuts like butter and is awesome to work with. Thanks for dropping by.

Another Step Card

Can you tell I am in love with this type of card. Here is another one that I made. This is the second fairy or mystical card that I have made. I bought the fairy stamp from a store in London, Ontario at the recent Stampfest this spring in Kitchener. They had two fairy stamps (one a girl and one a little boy). I wish I had bought both of them, but I wasn't really sure how at the time how I was going to use the stamp. I had so much fun creating this card that I think a road trip to London (when the gas prices go down) is also in the cards.

The fibre behind the fairy is Angelina Fibre and the fairy is stamped on Fantasy Film. I had a hard time taking a picture of this card because of the reflection from the flash. I have posted 2 pictures to so you can see what I mean and the magic of the Fantasy Film.

Fairy Step

I'm in love with step cards. I find the design of these cards, is a fantastic showcase that really highlights the image used.

This card turned out to be quite large, larger than I thought it was going to be, but I think my image fit perfectly on it. This is the first card I have done with this type of image and I am now anxious to do more. This fairy stamp set is one of a series of stamp sets that I purchased on a recent road trip to the States. I am kicking myself that I only bought the one and have since gone back for the other sets. As luck would have it, they were sold out. So another road trip is a necessity and the sooner the better. I would love to do a series of similar cards for each fairy in the series.

Vintage Step

Step cards are my new favorite design. This one folds down to a regular quarter size card. The borders are done with a Fiskars punch and the lady is a die from Marianne. Thanks for looking.
